Grooved idlers

Webex offers idlers with a grooved surfaced design that helps remove air trapped between the roll and the web. The micro-groove finish consists of 24 precision-machined grooves per inch, each .008 in. deep. The grooved vent traps air as the web passes over the roll, allowing the roll and web surfaces to stay in constant contact across a wide range of operating speeds.

Fabric scanning device

The Fabric Scanning Device (FSD) from Wangner Systems measures fabric tension and caliper while the fabric is at rest on the paper machine. The Measurements are taken while the machine is stopped. The FSD develops cross-machine profiles that have proven useful in solving machine moisture problems. Measurements also make it easier to estimate the remaining life of the fabric. Evaporation system

The Kvaerner evaporation system features high availability, proven 85% dry solids capability, and customized condensate treatment. A new instrumental analysis system from Enso Marketing evaluates the sensory properties of packaging boards with an electronic nose, which mimics biological olfactory systems by processing signals from different kinds of sensors with sophisticated software. Solids/liquids separation

Ahlstrom Machinery now offers new solids/liquids separation equipment for use in dewatering green liquor dregs.
