The Deublin HPS steam joint is a self-supported design. Two bearings support the housing, allowing the rotor to rotate easily within the joint body. In the seal assembly, the convex antimony-impregnated carbon graphite steal ring mates against a concave metallic surface. The HPS features a convex seal ring that is designed to be four times more resistant to failure than concave rings.

The Series 504FT in-line mass flow transmitters from Kurz Instruments incorporate the all-welded thermal sensor, a miniature "in-the-head" microprocessor, and a large, lighted LCD/keypad with set-up and configuration menus. SUPB, the new tension transducer from Dover Flexo Electronics Inc., is designed to measure process web tension accurately in industrial winding and converting applications. When used in a pair, the transducers are secured, one on each side of a web-machine frame, under pillow blocks that support a dead-shaft or live-shaft idler roll. The pair senses tension on the idler roll as it passes over it.
